Free Software Apple

Why are Windows so greedy and CHARGE for AntiVirus software to fix their “perfect” OS?
I am not talking about 3rd party software like Norton, but about Windows OneCare. Shouldnt it be completely free. I mean they are already charging enough for the OS, but then to be as greedy as to charge people to fix and make it operate their so called “perfect” OS correctly is just plain unfair.
I am glad I at least have one Apple computer with Mac OS X, they never have a virus and they don’t charge to improve the OS either.
Sorry, I mean Microsoft. Not Windows. Thanks for the good explanations so far.
To answer dwightl.… I also have a Windows Machine which is running quite poorly as I haven’t had an protection on it fo a while. I tried the free one, (AGK, or something like that) and it doesn’t want to finish installing.
So don’t pay for it…AVG Free is the best anti-virus out there right now. Norton is total junk, uses up a lot of system resources and you have to pay for it. Avast is another free anti-virus, which is still good, but personally I like AVG. You can download AVG from the link below. There is absolutely no spyware.
ADSENSE CO DE #1
The reason Mac OS X does not have as many viruses is because people who make viruses are going after Windows because it has over 90% market share. Mac OS X is just as vulnerable. I also don’t think Microsoft call’s their OS “perfect” otherwise they would never have to release patch’s and updates.
